Resins & chromatography
Affinity and process chromatography media with characterized binding capacity.
Affinity, immobilized-metal, ion exchange, hydrophobic-interaction, and size-exclusion media, supplied as bulk settled resin or as prepacked columns for direct connection to an FPLC.
Dynamic binding capacity is quoted at 10% breakthrough with the challenge protein and residence time named, because DBC measured at a two-minute residence time and DBC at six minutes are different numbers for the same bead. Static capacity quoted alone is a marketing number; we publish the conditions. Bead size is given as a d50, with the matrix chemistry and cross-linking density, the maximum linear flow rate, and the pressure limit, the four figures that decide whether a resin will survive your column geometry and your process flow rate.
Each resin also lists its recommended binding, elution, and storage buffers, the cleaning-in-place regime it tolerates, and, for affinity media where it matters, measured ligand leakage. Prepacked formats carry the same specification as the bulk bead so a screening column scales to a process column without re-qualifying the chemistry.
Resins ship ambient in their storage solution (typically 20% ethanol); check each product page for the exact preservative.
