We’re small, and we’re building the supplier we wished existed.
Bramante Biologics makes lab tools and lab software out of our own facility in Cambridge, Massachusetts. We express, purify, formulate, and QC-release our own catalog, publish a real list price on every page, and put a Certificate of Analysis in every box. No marketing department smooths this page over, what follows is what it is actually like.
The team is small enough that everyone is close to the actual product, not a departmental abstraction of it, the bench, the freezer, the shipping label, and the codebase are all a short walk from each other at our Cambridge site. Correspondence goes to support@bramantebio.com and gets a direct answer from someone who understands the question, not a ticket queue.
We’d rather publish an honest, thinner claim than a polished, invented one. That is why the catalog says research use only instead of implying a certification we don’t hold, and it is why this page has no salary band we haven’t decided on. If a role here doesn’t have a tidy job description yet, we’ll say so instead of making one up.
Process development & protein biochemistry
Expression and purification method development, formulation and stability work, and scaling a process from a first successful run to a repeatable one, on the bench in our Cambridge facility. If you've optimized a chromatography train or chased a yield problem to ground, this is that work.
QC / analytical
Running and improving the release assays described on the Quality page, SDS-PAGE, RP-HPLC, LAL, cell-based bioassays, sterility and mycoplasma testing, and building the acceptance criteria and documentation that back every Certificate of Analysis, all in-house.
Fulfillment & operations
Pick, pack, and cold-chain shipping out of Cambridge; inventory and lot tracking; vendor and carrier relationships. The part of the business that turns a released lot into a package that shows up intact and on time.
Software
The catalog, checkout, and documents systems behind this site, and LabKick, the notebook, inventory, and protocols product running at app.bramantebio.com. LabKick is live today and still early, so most of what it will be is still unbuilt. If that kind of build interests you, we'd like to talk.
What we can promise honestly: real ownership over problems that ship, equity in an early-stage company, and direct visibility into how the business is actually run. Bench and lab roles are on-site at our Cambridge facility; we don’t have a standard benefits menu or a published salary band to hand you, those get worked out directly, person to person, not templated.
We don’t run a formal req process. If one of the areas above matches what you do, write to support@bramantebio.com, tell us what you’d want to work on and why, and include whatever shows your work best (a resume, a portfolio, a GitHub, a paper). We read everything that comes in.
On-site means this address, so you can work out the commute before you write:
