Made to orderSome items are produced against your order. The lead time is on the product page, next to the price, before you check out. It is the date we are working to, not a hedge.

Custom workA quote within 24 hours, with the price and the schedule in the same reply. See Custom.

If it slipsWe email you with the new date as soon as we know, and you can cancel for a full refund. We would rather lose the order than quietly hold it.

Cold-chain classes

Ambient

No refrigerant, ships at room temperature. Most chromatography resins and prepacked columns, buffers, salts, and a handful of shelf-stable reagents fall here, nothing time-sensitive to worry about in transit.

Cold pack (blue ice)

Insulated shipper with gel-ice packs, holding ≤8 °C for up to 72 hours. This is the default for cell culture media, dissociation reagents, and most enzymes, anything stable refrigerated for the duration of transit.

Dry ice

Insulated shipper packed with dry ice, declared UN1845 Class 9 (miscellaneous dangerous goods) under IATA/DOT rules. Every recombinant growth factor and cytokine ships this way. They are frozen solutions in PBS, not powders, along with competent cells, sera, and the media components that have to stay frozen in transit.

Transit times & cutoffs

Ships fromBramante Biologics Corporation, Cambridge, MA. Every lot is made, packed, and released at this one facility, so this is the shipper of record on every airbill and packing slip.

Domestic (US)1–2 business days from our Cambridge, MA dock once a lot is picked and released. In-stock items ship the same or next business day; made-to-order items ship after their listed lead time on the product page.

Order cutoffOrders confirmed by 1pm ET on a business day ship the same day, stock permitting. Dry-ice orders only ship Monday–Wednesday, so a package doesn’t spend a weekend in transit and arrive depleted.

InternationalNot yet a standard offering, dry-ice and cold-chain export logistics vary a lot by destination. If you need product outside the US, tell us the destination and product on Contact and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can get it there.

Hazmat / dry iceDry-ice shipments are declared UN1845, Class 9 (miscellaneous dangerous goods) under IATA/49 CFR. No special handling is required on your end to receive one, just open it promptly and use the outer carton’s venting as packed.

If a shipment arrives warm

Cold-chain packaging is validated for the transit windows above, but carrier delays happen. If a cold-pack or dry-ice shipment arrives at ambient temperature, or the dry ice is fully sublimated on arrival:

Don’t discard it. Photograph the packaging as received, temperature indicator, ice/dry-ice state, and the shipping label, before opening further.
Store it at the product’s labeled condition(fridge or freezer, per the CoA) while you contact us, don’t use it for a critical experiment yet.
File a claim within 5 business days of delivery via Contact with your order number, lot number, and photos. See Returns & guarantee for what qualifies for a free replacement.
