What changes
- It is connective tissue, not a destination. You meet your references through the tools that use them, the notebook, the writing, not by visiting a manager.
- The one place saving stays an explicit gesture is the browser, deliberately: out on the open web the platform cannot see what you are reading, so the extension is the bridge.
- The classic Zotero pain, duplicates, wrong authors, mangled journal names, is tedious pattern work, which is precisely what to hand to a machine.
