Recombinant Human FGF-9 (208 aa)
Carrier-free recombinant human FGF-9 (glia-activating factor), E. coli-expressed, ≥97% pure with endotoxin below 0.1 EU/µg. A heparin-binding FGFR ligand and mitogen for glial cells, oligodendrocyte progenitors, and fibroblasts.

I Overview
Bioactivity is defined by an ED50 of 1.0–5.0 ng/mL in the murine NIH/3T3 fibroblast proliferation assay. Sterile-filtered (0.2 µm) solution in PBS with 5 mM DTT, pH 7.4. Supplied frozen and carrier-free by default; a 0.1% BSA carrier option is also offered. The DTT keeps the two unpaired cysteines (Cys68, Cys134) reduced, since FGF-9 has no native disulfide bond to hold them.
