Recombinant Human SCF (Stem Cell Factor, 165 aa)
Carrier-free E. coli-expressed recombinant human soluble SCF (KIT ligand), ≥97% pure and supplied frozen. It supports hematopoietic and mast-cell progenitor expansion; the 18.5 kDa chain self-associates into the noncovalent homodimer that engages KIT.
I Overview
Bioactivity is defined by an ED50 of 1–5 ng/mL in the human TF-1 erythroleukemia cell proliferation assay. Sterile-filtered solution in PBS, pH 7.4. Supplied frozen; carrier-free (a 0.1% BSA carrier option is also available). The active species is a noncovalent homodimer of two 18.5 kDa chains that forms on dilution into aqueous buffer, so no refolding or dimerization step is needed.
